Colonel Pratt: Your Ward 7 Neighbor Ready to Serve

Hi, I'm Colonel Pratt and I'm a proud Hopewell resident of Ward 7. I'm a devoted husband of over 25 years and father to two wonderful adults; both my son and daughter who were born in Hopewell. Both of my children attended Hopewell schools from middle school through graduation—my son from Hopewell High School and my daughter from Appomattox Regional Governor's School. We've chosen to build our lives here because Hopewell feels like home, and I'm committed to making it even better for everyone

My background has prepared me to unite people and tackle challenges head-on. I hold a Master's in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University (2022) and a BA in Biblical Studies from Ohio Valley University. As a PMP-certified project manager, I've led initiatives while serving as Executive Director of the Richmond Peace Education Center, built key partnerships, and facilitated workshops using my training in mediation, negotiation, and consensus-building. I've honed skills in collaborative problem-solving that are essential to tapping into the potential of our community.

I believe we all have a part to play in making Hopewell a great place to live now and for future generations. I'll draw on my mediation and negotiation expertise to listen to Ward 7 neighbors, focus on transparency and communication, and foster unity on priorities like economic growth and community well-being.
